The silicone texture runs all the way down the fingers, which I wasn’t expecting—it makes gripping a hot cast iron skillet feel almost too easy. They’re thick enough that I don’t feel any burn through the cotton, and the left-right set means I finally stopped fumbling with one oversized mitten.
The silicone grip on these mitts is a game changer when I'm pulling heavy cast iron out of the oven, nothing slides or slips. They're also surprisingly easy to move my fingers in despite the size, so I can still grab a spatula without fumbling.
